Animations

In my time as a student in UCLan, I created a number of animations, four of which are shown below.
For "Phone wars" and "The sound collector", produced in my first 2 years of UCLan, I used Adobe Animate in the production. I then moved on to Toon Boom Harmony Animation software which I enjoy using. It is a professional suite of products and easier application in the production of animations.
I feel the stories are good, but I have struggled with my animation/cartoon drawing style; but improved everyday.

Dasher - Full Movie

At the end of my second year of study at UCLan, all the students had to produce their own individual 2 minute animations. This was my chance to bring my ideas for Dasher – the first superhero of Blackpool - to life. My long term aim and dream would be to make Dasher into an animated TV series and associated comic book series. This is and was a major dream of mine before going to University.

Phone Wars

At the end of my first year of study at UCLan, all the students had to produce their own individual 1 minute animations. My idea and animation was based on people’s opinions about Iphones or Samsungs and which being better. I thought I would animate a gladiatorial combat between an Iphone and Samsung Phone – who do you think wins? .

The sound collector

During my second year of study at UCLan, all the students had individual animation projects. Mine was to produce an animation based on the poem by Roger McGough called “The Sound Collector”. My interpretation of the poem was for a man to arrive at someones home and uses his vacuum cleaner to take anything that can make any sounds. In the end, he explains that the house owner had forgotten to pay for his sound insurance.
