I’ve been working hard on Killswarm’s poses for my Dasher comic series. At the time, I wanted to make the background black to match the atmosphere of a killswarm presence.
The top left pose is Killswarm dropping to the ground from the ceiling when he’s ready to confront anyone in his path. The top right corner shows the swarms reacting to it’s weakness to salt. The swarms get killed and fall apart from Killswarm’s body. The bottom left corner shows Killswarm ready to attack Dasher during his battle. The bottom right corner shows Killswarm creating a human hand figure made up of swarm insects. Then, in the middle, you can see Killswarm popping out of the sewer drain. At the time, I was also trying to experiment with the colours to see if I can make gunk for the bricks. I wanted to make it look like a surprise attack like how you would see characters do in horror movies to frighten the audience. That is exactly what I wanted to do with Killswarm to the comic readers.
